In an exclusive interview, Mayor Mark Hill discusses Frisco's future, housing affordability, redevelopment priorities, regional partnerships and bringing the city together after hard-fought election.

Just weeks after taking office, Frisco Mayor Mark Hill says the transition has been both exciting and fast-paced.
Speaking with Context Corner’s BJ Lewis, Hill reflected on his early days as mayor and shared the priorities he believes will shape Frisco’s future.
Building on Frisco’s Success
Hill said serving as mayor is both an honor and a privilege after living in Frisco for more than 20 years.
“It’s exciting. It’s a privilege. My family has experienced Frisco’s growth, and now I have the opportunity to help lead its future.”
His immediate priorities include redevelopment of older neighborhoods, investment in the Rail District, stronger regional partnerships, and ensuring Frisco remains attractive to families and businesses.
“A lot of good families and good businesses have chosen Frisco. Our job is to make sure the next ones continue to choose Frisco.”
Housing and Moving Forward
Hill acknowledged that housing affordability remains a growing challenge and said the city will work with developers and community partners to expand middle-market housing options.
“Housing affordability is a challenge locally, and it’s something we need to address collaboratively.”
Reflecting on the election, Hill said his focus quickly shifted from campaigning to governing.
“As soon as the election was over, I was already turning the page. I’m focused on what’s next for Frisco.”
Serving the Entire Community
Asked about leading a diverse and growing city, Hill said respect, collaboration, and practical leadership will guide his administration.
“I focus on things I can help with and working with partners who want to improve the lives of Frisco residents.”
As Hill begins his term, he says his goal is to build on Frisco’s momentum while preparing the city for its next chapter of growth.
