Dallas- A protest surrounding the Republican National Convention in downtown Dallas escalated as protesters and counterprotesters confronted each other, resulting in the detention of two members of the community defense organization known as the CLB.
According to this report by Ariell Chilcote, Dallas police detained the two CLB members following allegations that they assaulted counterprotesters. Police also said the individuals blocked the road and reported that the alleged victim did not require medical treatment.
The march was organized by the DFW Anti-War Committee and Indivisible Dallas, with organizers estimating approximately 450 people in attendance. Demonstrators voiced opposition to the Trump administration’s policies, including its war and deportation agendas.
The report follows the escalation between protesters and counterprotesters during the march, including an incident involving CLB member Doberman. The report also provides background on Doberman, including a previous FBI and Secret Service raid connected to an investigation into the alleged UFC Freedom 250 bomb plot.
